Bocconcino in Dusseldorf

Delicious food and friendly service. The restaurant is very large and on weekends it gets a little louder. We were thoroughly satisfied.

This place looks amazing initially. Food is okay but come here only if you have close to 10hrs to have one meal. The average waiting time is 30mins between food abs drink. Better to avoid.

Too expensive! We had not seen the menu yet and we were offered an Italian starter. It concerned 2 bowls with a few snacks. Afterwards it turned out that they asked for 120 euros for 6 people ... Unsolicited, 2 bottles of water of € 9.50 per bottle were also put on the table ..... This was the last time in this restaurant!

Best of the best restaurants in the Medienhafen ?? We recommend! Food, drinks and atmosphere deserve 5 stars !! A very special thank you to the waiter Angelo who kept us extremely satisfied all evening!

We went to Bocconcino for dinner tonight, we felt very comfortable there. The food was superb and the staff was courteous and courteous. We would love to come back.

Food & drink: Excellent! But, prices: More than peppered (Attention: BEFORE you briefly estimate the estimated sum of starter, main course, dessert and drinks!). Service: Not professionals, but ok. Ambience: good. Corona protection: So-so (some masks, sitting way too tight outside).

The normal bottle of water costs € 9.5. It seems a hoax to the customer. The food is average and the service discreet. I left there feeling that I had been scammed.

We were looking forward to a great evening with a nice atmosphere and good food. The service was very nice, drinks and starter plates arrived quickly ... and then that was it! ... after 8 !!! If there was a demand for the main course (pasta and pizza) and various attempts by the waitress and the chef, who were still not able to bring the food after 2 hours, we canceled, paid ... and went to EAT ... just somewhere else ... the selection of good restaurants in the harbor is huge ... and we won't miss the Bocconcino.

Location is very nice! But that was it ... a few years ago it was still great, today a flop! Service friendly but very lame, waiting 40 minutes for the bill after trying to pay three times. Steak was ok, but salad was dry and sandy. Really a joke for the price. Pity!

Insanely nice team and great cocktails (very friendly bartender). The food is also perfect and always very tasty. With the best and friendliest service in all of Düsseldorf, we are always happy to come back. Really a big compliment to all service staff and also to the great cooks. Go on like this! You are all great!

I don't usually write a review, but there is a lot more appearances than existence in this supposedly good restaurant. It only reacts to repeated requests. You have to plan 30 minutes to get a drink. Very rude, unfriendly, after requesting a hospitality receipt you will even be insulted. The air conditioning was only turned on late in the evening to save costs, even though it was scalding hot. The coordination, the service, the food, nothing fits together. Price-performance ratio is not right at all. A miracle that this shop is still alive!

I would write you so many things here, but none of your waiters would be worth it. For us, service and operation only existed when requested. Was it because we differed from the "usual clientele"? Don't underestimate this recession! All of us on the evening were people who know quite well how gastronomy works and you have lost SOME guests.

I can only agree. If a dish is recommended that is not on the menu, it makes sense to inquire about the price beforehand so that no surprised face appears afterwards. The food, especially the fish, is good, but still too expensive. I would not go there again.

Not cheap but nice

All very good. The prices of wines and bitters are a bit high (a 0.75 bottle goes from 35 € to go up, 6 € for a bitter). For all the rest, nothing to say. Fast table service, nice and local staff in a nice and quiet location.

Very disappointed of the service there, if one can call it “service” Won’t recommend it. It is a nice location with great view and that’s all. Food doesn’t cost that money neither

The food is fine, nice decorated but the cooking could be better, especially taking into account the prices. My Steak was salty which disturbed the taste of meat and came bearly warm, the vegies were not fresh. In cocktails is bearly to taste smth except the juices or cola. Another metter is the personal. Firstly unfriendly hostes that almost threw us impolite to the reserved table. The waiter R was caring the mask (protective measures against Covid-19) at his neck, NOT at the face and the distance obviously was less than metter, he was talking to us without protection face to face. The whole evening the waiter was sarcastic and disrespectful. Our table was full of dirty plates because he came only few times pick up the glasses. To get the menue & order the desert with drinks we have to waited 50 mins, which is unacceptable. After we asked the bill, he was walking around 30 mins, after some time searching the machine to pay, and in the end said that we need to pay inside. So we were standing and waiting for him inside for around 10 min. So the dinner was more than 4h and mostly bcs of the waiting. The restaurant was full at the terrace but inside only few tables so I can not state that the restaurant was overcrowded.

Excelent Italian food. Very friendly staff. Marvelous sweet's. Nice river view. Expensive Restaurant. 60 euro per head 5 plates main course, one pitsa, antipasti for 5 person one bottle wine and 5 desert. Expensive but food was excellent. I recommend.

I celebrated the new year with my hubby in the Bocconcino. Unfortunately, I have to share the same opinion as some other guests regarding the unpleasant experience with staff. From my point of view the staff as unprofessional and arrogant e.g.waiting 20min. for a drink at the bar and being ignored was every round the same story over again. With on top an agitated look from the staff. I would not spend my money again in this restaurant. Warm greetings with hope for a more loving 2020!

Great, high quality dishes, great craftsmanship. Of course it also has its price, but definitely justified here. The service knows what it is doing and is very competent. Since we could not choose a starter, we were offered a small variation of all starters. Great!!!! We will definitely go back here again, it was a pleasure.

Very authentic and premium Italian restaurant in Dusseldorf, centrally located. Service is good. Would be nice to have more english speaking waiters for bigger company events.

Very rude manager. I was shocked by how racist and arrogant he was. I will not be returning and will advise all of my friends and colleagues of the same.

Price, value, service. These things are all 'alright' but missing a special edge to make it worth 5 stars.

Beautiful place, great area, very disappointing management style. Was served a food that reeked after fish. When mentioned very politely, it was completely ignored. A pitty. First and last visit sadly.
